Room was comfortable and quiet. Room was clean and appearance OK for passing through. All the features worked as expected. Recommendation: make electrical outlets more accessible for those travelers that have medical devices needing power outlets. Heat and air-con worked fine and our unit was not excessively noisy. Wonder why no king size bed rooms available? Would be asset to travelers. Passed on to management noticing bugs in bathroom middle of night. Agree with another guest that lobby was stuffy and smelled of animals. There were folks checking out in the morning with two dogs, one not on leash. Entrance looks shabby. Air con unit left of entrance door is damaged looking, and trashy. Planters with ugly plants need to go. Owners, first appearances tell a lot about what to expect inside. Kudos to the management for display of patriotic feelings. But flag should not be displayed as this flag is. Stapled or nailed to wall is wrong. No proper lighting of flag at all. Weathered flag and the staples are tearing the fabric. There is adequate space in the circular space opposite front door for proper flag pole and proper lighting. Would make significant difference in building appearance and flag display. As for morning offering of juice, coffee and doughnuts, no issue. Go to restaurant or another chain if you want more.
I liked the price and the people working there were nice. It was just a bit "shabby" overall. Lights not working, stains on bedspread. Not dirty, necessarily, but just a bit dated and run down looking. Ok for just spending the night.
Location, very tolerant cancellation and refund policy. Price, cleanliness, ashtray in a non-smoking room, patrons tailgating in the parking lot, indiscreetly urinating (woman).
Nice outdoor seating for sitting and talking, very comfortable beds and nice linens!, good location, shuttle is a good idea even though it was out of service the night we were there. Very nice hotel!
Had ants in the room. The front computer was outdated and could not be used to check email. They need to update the Browser. Could not wirelessly print out tickets.
First, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The complimentary coffee was the best I've ever had at any motel but the cookie was not. Because our room was on the top (5th) floor right next to the elevator we were a bit apprehensive, but we heard nothing. It was very quiet. The beds were also quite comfortable. The breakfast was surprisingly well done with different styles of eggs offered each day of our four day stay. The staff was attentive and there were always clean tables available. The desk clerk recommended a NY style pizza restaurant and his recommendation was spot on. It was just a small hole-in-the-wall but the pizza was great as was the wait staff. Anywhere you wanted to go, just ask the clerks. They provided written directions with an address and a map. And the motel location was just about 10 minutes from anywhere: downtown, visitor's center, Biltmore mansion, Blue Ridge Parkway. We were very pleased overall. The heater/AC unit in the room was controlled by a thermostat on the wall that was very difficult to see and even more difficult to use. It was hard to get it to respond and harder to find a comfortable setting. I guess it was one of those "smart" thermostats but it sure out-smarted me.
Location was good, easy to find not too far from downtown. First room reaked like cigarette smoke and febreeze. Second room bathtub would not drain. Above ankles in water. Complained. Was told it would be fixed while we were at dinner and came back and the bathtub was still full.
Comfortable beds and clean sheets. No vent fan in bathroom. Breakfast was not prepared for full hotel number of guests, had to wait 10 min for eggs. Say you are green hotel, but don't have enough towel racks to hang up towels instead of leaving them on the floor. One elevator not enough for whole building.
There was a refrigerator and microwave in the room, which was unexpected and handy. Everything was clean and super comfortable. The staff was very friendly!

The staff was outstanding and friendly. Used meeting room for biz. Quiet. Clean rooms Standard corporate Holiday Inn Express breakfast bar. All Holiday Inns need to up their game and improve the quality and taste of breakfast. With that said, the Holiday Inn Asheville was exceptional.

Hotel was clean; well appointed; excellent staff who are very helpful and professional; good location--convenient to all major attractions and also downtown Asheville. Breakfast was good quality with many items to choose from and all were well prepared. Rooms were large with multiple areas for both sleeping and relaxing. There was nothing to dislike. We had no complaints.
The room had windows that could open and a door leading to a small balcony; these made the room airier and lighter. We were told we could not take our breakfast poolside because of fears that food would get into the water. But the evening before several families were having snacks/dinner/drinks on the tables and in the gazebo near the pool. A little consistency is in order. If you want families as well as couples to be welcomed fully on a hot summer day, you need to be a bit more flexible in your policy.
The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was clean. The hot breakfast had plenty of options to choose from. Our bed was very firm. We like firm mattresses but it seemed a little worn out. We had a handicap room and the seat in the shower looked dirty. Everything else appeared well cleaned though.
The Employees and the location The walls must be thin because we could hear everything in the hall and rooms next door.

I like the room and they offered a hot, full breakfast. The breakfast buffet was well stocked. The idiots charged me for the room although I'd already paid Priceline for it. They admitted their mistake, but it takes 5 days to get my money back and all they offered was 'I'm sorry.'
The lobby looked to have been recently remodeled. Staff were friendly. Ants found crawling on the nightstand nearest our window. Breakfast was basically understaffed and out of stock by 9am. I felt bad for the poor girl trying to restock breakfast items for the 40 or so people crammed into the tiny breakfast area.
Option of indoor pool and free breakfast; coffee, tea, hot chocolate always out Pool was small, overall a little outdated but it was in good shape, staff was not out of their way friendly but weren't unfriendly either.

Location - very close to the Biltmore Estate The sheets had not been changed & were dirty/greasy.
