The Good: Very luxurious rooms. Friendly staff. Really good food on site at the Urban Kitchen. Location was prime to get to all the museums and city center. The Bad: 2+ hours delayed check in time. Compensation was essentially a drink at the bar. This happened to many people around us. When we finally got to our rooms, there were NO towels!!! For the price we paid and the star value of this hotel, I was very disappointed.
Hotel gave us a free upgrade to a huge suite. It was awesome. Staff was excellent
We really enjoyed the level of the service provided by the staff. A 5-star gem in the heart of town. Can't wait to return. We utilized the spa and fantastic treatments. It would be nice if there was a relaxation room to unwind in after the treatments other than the indoor pool area. There were children splashing around in the pool. We prefer a more tranquil environment after wonderful spa services.
nice room n veiw order a suprise bottle of champane to be in room never made it did give us a comp breakfest
The Hotel staff is very friendly and pleasant.
very attentive staff
Really enjoyed my stay. While not traditional room service, the food at Urban Farmer was amazing.
Food at Urban Farmer was fabulous. Quite a delight. Rooftop bar was excellent - beautiful view. Room smelled like smoke. First staff person apologized and offered no other solutions. Second call the staff person offered an ozone machine to clean the air. He never showed up. I called two hours later after dinner and they said they couldn't bring the ozone machine to the room, stating that the machine couldn't be in use when the guest was in the room. Disappointed in response and knowledge of staff.
The staff was friendly and accommodating. Old king bed with two craters on either side and a mountain in the middle. Sparse king suite room missing some typical and expected details such as a bag for ice bucket, a second robe, or a second cutlery set from room service. The staff was nice and accommodating, but we just stopped calling the front desk after the 2nd call. Also the vanity area of the bathroom was awkwardly massive - perhaps 12'x24'. It contained a single sink, and a separate make-up vanity (without a stool). The toilet and shower (no tub) were located through a separate door to the standard, camped hotel bathroom. Weird prioritize took of space, that made the suite feel awkward.
Construction at an adjacent building seemed to go on all night long. Unable to have any silence or sleep. And then there was a taxi "horn-honking" demonstration in opposition to Uber. Worst hotel experience of my life.
The bedding is super comfy and the overall look is modern and very pleasing. Great staff. The room was a tad too small for me.
It's clean, the rooms are really nice, and it's in a great location. I have no complaints. This place was awesome.
clean, nice staff, secured parking, spacious rooms, microwaves in room, no smoking, comfortable bed and sheets Daily parking was over $40/night
the view and the room was lovely, the hotel is close to the city hall and to the museums. Bar on the first floor is good. The pool was not very clean (passable) and people had to ask several times for towels. The pool area can be a great place - just add some plants, get rid of ugly fence, put a bar there....
Great location to tourist sites. Rooms are moderdon, clean, spacious. Room are not very sound proof.
Beautiful boutique rooms N/A
Noisy and crowded they day we were there a plain clean serviceable hotel Two things. Our room was between two college kid rooms with multiple tennants. They were polite but busy Other was we went to happy hour and the price was not honored
Clean & facilities are modern Room is describe with "city view", only view is an office building across our room. No full service restaurant in the hotel but walking distance to everything.
I love the nicely decorated rooms and modern feel. Great location. Rooms not quietly. Could hear all traffic from the street and noise from other rooms and I was on the 9th floor. Would like to see Sonesta to replace those thin windows with something better.
Great location, clean and very friendly hotel staff. The Art Bar left a lot to be desired. Poor food and service.
The staff was friendly, respectful and professional.
The hotel was very clean and well-kept up. Some of the furniture is a bit dated, but in great condition. Beds were extremely comfortable. The staff was very polite and helpful.
This was a very convenient location to downtown Philadelphia. The front desk staff were very pleasant. The room was adequate. The bathroom was clean. The water pressure and temperature in the shower were perfect. In the morning, I went downstairs to get coffee and mentioned that the coffee pot in my room did not work. The woman behind the counter made a note of my room # and gave me free coffee. I was pleasantly surprised. The valet staff was friendly, courteous, and efficient. The check-in process took way too long. When I got there, there was a line of about 20 people and only one person at the desk. I came back 45 minutes later. There were about 25 people on line but they finally added additional staff at the desk. The carpet in the room was dated and wrinkled in places -- creating a tripping hazard. The coffee pot did not work. The outlet in the bathroom did not work. We checked our luggage the last day to enjoy a few more hours in Philly, and the bell hop was grumpy.
Good location False fire alarm went crazy at 4 a.m. People had to all leave the building in the cold night. Customers didn't get any form of compensation for the false alarm. Staff were not welcoming enough, chatting to each other frequently without paying attention to customers.
We had 4 rooms on the same floor and travelling with young kids. There was a group of loud guests (they probably occupied 10+ of the other rooms considering they are treating it like a dorm and walking back and forth from it and slamming the doors) roaming around the hallways until 3am, called front desk and they weren't able to do anything. A group of them actually knocked on our doors at 3am repeatedly until I finally opened the door and ask them what they wanted and a guy asked if he can come into our room and I heard snickers in the back. I closed the door and they knocked again and I asked them if they were drunk and more laughing. Third time I called security on them. When I finally slept for maybe 10 minutes around 4am the fire alarm went off, we were on the 19th floor and the elevators were shut off and we couldn't reach the front desk to find out what's going on. We had our kids ready in case we have to walk down to the ground floor. The alarms went off for 30 minutes until there was an annoucement saying it was a false alarm. I suspected the other guests on our floor might have pulled the alarm. It's disgusting and the hotel did not handle the situation at all, no apologies whatsoever when we checked out in the morning.
It was a great stay. Reviews were so so, and was worried. Nothing to be worried about! A little older building but beds are very nice
The staff was so welcoming as soon as we walked in the door. There was complimentary fruit infused water in the lobby every day. Our room was clean and beautiful I loved everything
Great location - clean - courteous - no complaints!
Hotel location was easily accessible to many things in Philadelphia. For the price, it was a good value but definitely less quality then I know and expect with the Sheraton brand. Room was dirty and poorly made up. Hallway rugs were filthy. Many stains on all carpets, peeling wallpaper. Staff could be more attentive and friendlier. Sat in lobby bar area for a long time before someone spoke with us. Rooms in need of major renovation.
There were a lot of negative reviews but we really liked it. Location is good, room is nice. Bed is clean and comfy. The carpet may need a refurbish but that's it. 4-5 stars.
Easy check in and parking. Clean comfortable room. Easy to get places in the city. Concierge was very friendly and offered good suggestions and information. Clerk at check in was not all that friendly. Got back from a concert at night and our room keys didn't work. Had to head back down and have that fixed. Not something we wanted to deal with at that point in the evening.
Bed Where Uncomfortable Carpet and Couch Filthy Pool had to Chlorine that Burnt the Eye's
It all started with our arrival and meeting Anton Ford at the front desk. Anton's the best.......friendly, funny, informative. Our trip to Philadelphia was awesome because the people were fantastic......no matter what we did or where we went. And Anton really got our trip off to a fantastic start. Thank you Anton!

The location The customer service from employees was horrible when I went up for breakfast. Was going to be my first time staying at this hotel. After I found out they don't do COOK TO ORDER BREAKFAST like most embassy's and my room wasn't ready when I checked in as promised and the employees weren't friendly. I decided to take my business somewhere else.
We love staying at Embassy Suites with our two kids (6 and 8 years old). The separate space is terrific for letting them go to sleep before us. The included buffet breakfast makes mornings easier too. The physical property is very dated ... only one of the three elevators was working as we went to check out at 9:30 AM, so we walked down 18 flights of stairs. I feel really badly for the cleaning staff who are competing for space on the elevator in order to turn over rooms! That said, every single person we interacted with had five star customer service and a great attitude. For the price, I'd definitely stay here again, but there's nothing luxurious about it!
Convenient location for City travels. Appears to be reasonably clean. Good value for the expense. The hotel is dated and well used.
breakfast room had a musty smell
Staff were extremely friendly!
Given a great room with tons of space and nice views, thanks so much! Cleaning staff were so pleasant! We were turned away from the breakfast because we arrived at 9:29 and "there were already a lot of people in there"
Management is terrible and has no heart. It's all about policy. They refused to cancel my room and credit me the day of my intended arrival even though I had a medical emergency and couldn't make the trip. I will never stay here again and hope you do the same.
The staff was great and very helpful. Our room was nice, very comfortable and clean. We liked the location as it was walking distance to some museums and also a Starbucks! Snacks in the early evening and free breakfast was a nice extra. I would definitely stay again at this Embassy Suites. My stay would have been excellent had it not been for the very long wait we experienced with parking. We were aware that it would take about 30 minutes from the time we called the parking attendant to have our car ready for us at the front. We called right after we finished our breakfast, went to our room to gather our things and check out. Once we checked out we waited in the lobby for our car to be brought around about an hour. We finally asked and were told that the desk had not told an attendant to get our car ready. They got right on it but we ended up waiting about another 25 minutes for our car, making us late to our outing. Had it not been for this issue I would rate our experience as excellent.
Great Hotel! Perfect Location!!
