English speaking Staff very helpful- Nice breakfast.
Trully friendly manager and receptionists. Courtesy van brough us from the port to the hotel and back. Luggage brought to the room and all facilities pointed out to us. Superb room and services. Tasteful decoration and real comfort. Located in a nice and quiet street besides another hotel and a fantastic restaurant. Just 4 or 5 minutes walk from Marina Corta and Corso Vittorio Emanuele Staff serving breakfast: Nothing reprovable but not as friendly as the rest of the staff.
The friendlyness of the staff and the facilities, for example the fantastically clean and warm swimming pool, the jacuzzi on the roof and the sun beds. Location was great aswell.
Staff, room and swimming pool
It's a lovely hotel and has a nice pool. The rooms are spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The free internet was easy to use, in the lounge area of the hotel. The roof gardens were also very pleasant.
Extremely friendly staff, very helpful and acomodating. A bautiful Hotel, highly recommend it!!! Great location also! Could have better breakfast, more variety and fresh bread.
The hotel is one of Lipari's best. Its location is 5 minutes to the main street. There is internet but it didn't work for us in the room (with cable) we needed to go to the reception hall. I wish more ppl knew english, ask for Alicia (if I recall well). You can see that there is not a lot of staff and thus the service is fair but not good; for example I remember us taking the luggage to the room even on arrival. But they had a shuttle to the port which was very convenient.
Best speaking Italian ever met within this hotel staff - Ms Melissa; cleanliness - they changed the towels even twice a day; serenity of the surroundings - a residential area not assaulted by tourists; good taste implicit in everything ... Overall great. No garden available - we did not check though the "terrace garden" and they recommended a tourist office offering trips which did not prove to be serious, this should really be taken care of and I think they already did due to our complaint.
The quiet location. comfortable rooms. There was a conference at the hotel with a lot of people. This made it a bit uncomfortable to use to pool area during the day.
The close proximity of the hotel to the city area of Lipari was fantastic. The hotel offered value for money, was very clean and has a loverly ambiance. The rooms were airconditioned, had generous sized bathrooms. I would recommend this hotel to other travellers and would again stay there myself without any reservations. no it was exactly what we were looking for.
Good location, nice lobby, good breakfast, clean bathroom was too small, toilette and shower was in the same place
The hotel was right by the port, it offered a decent selection for breakfast, and had helpful staff. The hotel charged for itnernet usage, I couldn't figure out the air conditioner in my room, the shower had no base, and the gym wasn't really a gym
A traditional and calm hotel with character. Spacious rooms and terraces. Breakfast was adequate. We were end of season and our options dimished daily.
Very good location. Ok breakfast. Arrogant and rude male receptionist. Very small room, not worth the price. Air conditioning cost extra.
the location the staff were rude and unfriendly. we had one bad experience with the manager where he was abusive towards us.
Hotel appears to think it is grand in some way but really is rather shabby. Very expensive for what it is and when they charge you 5 euros extra per day to turn the air conditioning on in August you kind of know what kind of place it is.
convenient location & breakfast!
Very convenient situation, especially for the ferry terminal. Godd breakfast served until quite late for those who don't like to get up early on holiday.
Staff were very friendly, pool features were nice. The rooms look like they were from the 1970s - badly needs refreshing. Also, incredibly expensive.
The hotel was clean ,neat, and tidy.easy to hop from island to island.the staff were great and helpful.
Great location just off the main street. Lovely courtyard / pool area (pool a little small but good enough). Great rooms. No savoury breakfast options (continental and cereals only).
Large rooms, Garden Furnishement, Ants
We booked a triple room. It looked larger rooms are in a cottage with own entrance. I liked the size of the accommodation.
it's very expensive for an hotel so noisy (the restaurant is on the top of the hotel so that we have earded every movement of the chairs on the floor!!) + the pool is very very small (it's not a real pool but a big bath) + as the pool is in the middle of the hotel, the noise can be earded from all + the pool don't have lot of sun... I found this hotel very expensive for all this + the decoration wich is very old fashion
We had room 101 the view & size of the room was fantastic we would stay here again. There was a problem with the internet they did allow us to use the office computer but it would have been good to have it in our room.
I love that you can lie out and then climb down a ladder to go right into the ocean.
Loved this hotel. All staff were very friendly (make sure to call as you arrive at the port to be collected) and the room was terrific (booked a suite). Big room, right on the water, with a huge comfortable bed. Apart from breakfast, didnt try dining, although we were told there was a 15euro 3 course menu for booking.com users. Lipari port is only a short, but hot, walk away. Overall, would highly recommend. Hotel breakfast was a let down with just the regular pastries and cereals and tinned fruits. Given the abundance of fresh and flavourful fruit in the region, this was disappointing. Also, a fair amount of competition for the loungers on the sun deck, so be quick!
Helpful staff. Good room size and nice patio set in beautiful gardens. It is handy to have the choice between using the hotel restaurant or prepare your own food in the cooking corner The hotel is very nice, but there are no beaches nearby and the swimming pool has very limited chairs available
Great value for the money.Nice pool, helpful staff.Great location.
The free shuttle to the harbour, the free pool towels every day. Best was the rooms in top floor looking landside...as we are no early risers. The breakfast selection could be wider...
Attractive hotel in a fantastic location, near the centre of Lipari but also right on the sea with lovely views. The rooms were clean, the pool area and grounds well maintained and the staff pleasant. Nothing major, but would have preferred a stronger shower and fresh fruit as part of breakfast.
The hotel is attached to the sea, close to the mains streets and it has a swimming pool with a great sea view.
The situation and room in the hotel were excelent along with most of the service.. Handed in laundry on the day we arrived and had to ask for it as we were leaving that day, when we did receive it back some of the items were still wet, this was after three days. Also the ambience of the hotel was spoiled by the arrival of a class of about 50 school children who were continually running in the hallways and screaming. When we arrived it was very warm with days up to 30 deg. but there was no air conditioning, when I asked they told me they turned it off at the end of September and turned it back on in July, thats great if the weather is cool.
We reserved our room many months ahead of schelude and were delighted that it was available. It is thiere largest room, very large by Sicilian standards with a balcony with sea views. This room was wonderful for a B&B style hotel. I don't know about the other rooms! Family run hotel with no English spoken. Breakfast and internet all located in room shared by the family of husband and wife and two young children. We were treated very nicely, but this set-up might not be for everyone. Good value for the money.
Very friendly staff and excellent breakfast. The rooms were newly decorated and clean. Very good location: tucked away, yet very close to the harbour square, with nice cafes, restaurants and shops.
Excellent value for money Hotel within easy walking distance of pier, shops and restaurants.
Good sized rooms and good breakfast
It was a beautifully kept b & b, lovely location away form the hustle and bustle. The view from the breakfast room was amazing, air con and having a fridge etc.. was a real bonus..And the staff were extremely helpful and friendly..
The room was cleaned very well every day. We were in the annex and it felt nice and private as well as quiet. I liked the location within the village with the locals, but also close to the restaurants and ports (just 2mins from where the tour boats leave and 10mins from where the ferries and hydrofoils leave). The beds were very uncomfortable - hard and lumpy and the pillows not that great. We got woken up by the church bells at 7am every day!
Excellent rooms, location is superb, Staff had no english
We stayed in the Apartment Alice, which had a massive bedroom and a good location. It was clean and bright and had air conditioning, and a kitchen with fridge and utensils. The owners left us to ourselves. I would definitely recommend the place and Lipari is lovely. It was a little noisy but as the location was very central I guess that was to be expected, and the bedroom looked out onto a main street on the ground floor so we were unable to keep the windows open. However it was very cheap. There was also the noise of possibly a generator coming from next door which was annoying, but this could only be heard in the kitchen and not in the bedroom so didn't disturb us sleeping.
split level rooom was very comfortable and the room was really big, a great location, good facitillites- fridge, functioning air conditioning (!) and and balcony. Was also very quiet.
the staff was so kind and the breakfast was nice with smily service
