Location/spa and swimming pool None
Very good welcome and staff performance An elevator alarm went off in the middle of the night and it took over one hour to fix it - not conducive to comfortable sleep.
The bed is gorgeusly confortable Many problems with shower, room cleaning, front desk attendece, etc.
Location! And they left a small treat for my child every afternoon.
when I make check out from the hotel they told me i have to pay more than what booking website show me,after desscution they agree to refund 110 $ to me.
Hotel has great location, very nice accomodations. There was broken glass in the bar and I cut my finger pretty badly on our first night at the hotel. Although hotel staff was very nice and they did call security, I thought they could have done more in way of compensation. In hindsight, I probably needed stitches and other than call to my room by the manager (who had already left by the time we got back to the room), they really didn't even follow-up.
Very good location.
Great restaurant recommendation and service!
Comfortable, elegant, convenient excellent accomodations. Food very good but somewhat overpriced. The hotel tower is very tall and our initial room on the 40th floor was very noisy in the wind and rain storm. The swaying was not noticable but the sound of creaking wall and ductwork was uncomfatably loud. The staff did move us to a lower floor to a large apartment suit which was very quiet.
They had absolutely no trace of our reservation on arrival, but after some spirited discussion more than made good the upheaval.
Liked everything about it! Amazing location, nice facilities, and friendly staff.
Basic Internet was kind of hit or miss on access and performance
When I had a problem with the professionality of one of the staff members, the General Manager took action fast and worked a satisfying solution to the problem. The only thing I didn't care for about this Hotel is that it did not offer a shuttle to the airport or my convention.
Very nice Hotel with a great staff. Valet service was good, bell service was good, front desk service was great. Restuarant was average, parking was expensive.
Toilet flush was EXTREMELY loud. And we could hear the toilets from other rooms as well.
Spacious, very well equiped suites with fridges, microwaves and two TV's - very handy when the World Cup clashes with Wimbledon. All furnishings and fabrics in rooms are of the highest quality. Almost all the staff were very friendly, extremely polite and most helpful. Great location for the Chicago tourist. Swimming Pool needs a refurb, now looking dated and tired. Air-con in gym and workout rooms not working therefore uncomfortably hot. Internet connections in Rooms too slow and no weekly rate for using the facility.
We arrived and there was no parking available and the hot water didn't seem to get any warmer than room temperature.
Charles Nancy was very rude and put out by helping me. Also, our keys did not work twice and the cost of the room service is quite ridiculous....$7.00 for dry cereal, plus 18% gratuity pluse $2.50 delivery?! Maybe if the staff was friendly and the service was better, but no way would I ever pay that for a bowl of corn flakes.
Beautiful views from the pool & workout areas. Room was very comfortable. Nice location. No jacuzzi. The sauna was nailed shut.
The facilities are good. The location is excellent. The parking is outrageous. $66/day but I think that's Chicago. One of the hotel staff was a bit rude, but the others more than made up for his behavior.
clean, comfortable,good service.
Clean and comfortable, loved the location, safety, suite was roomy for our two or could accomodate three easily.
Really enjoyed how friendly everyone was towards us especially since we were a young couple there and the staff told us good morning and everything each day and always had a smile on their face I can't really say I didn't like anything about the hotel or service. The only thing was it was a little expensive for us. Other than that everything was excellent
EVERYTHING, THE SERVICE WAS THE BEST AND THE BATHROOMS LARGE AND BEAUTIFULLY DONE. NICE TOUCHES EVERYWHERE! NOTHING
Great location across from Saks and neiman marcus. Hotel gorgeous, bright, elegant in public areas, very comfortable and luxurious room and bathroom
I've stayed at several nice hotels in Chicago and this is by far my favorite. Very comfortable, tastefully decorated, incredible A-V/home automation controls. This was the perfect home-base for a multi-day business trip. The atrium also had a splendid Sunday brunch with string quartet. Couldn't be better
Beautiful room. Inpecable service
I would guess that most people who gave this place a positive review have never stayed at trump. For the same price trump offers a vastly better experience and much more comfort. The gym and spa at trump make this place look like a spa from rural Cambodia. Rooms were an ever so slightly better version of the Conrad. No pillow menu. No glacier water. No espresso machine in room. No microwave or stovetop with dishwasher( all present at trump). And no cake with gold leaf on it for my birthday!!!
Chicago Downtown の利便性のわりに低価格なコストパフォーマンス。 建物自体が老朽化しており、ラグジャリーな雰囲気はない。朝食はない。
Close to shops at magnificent mile Pool was small and not kid friendly. A 16oz pop was $4 plus tax at hotel store
Brenda served us for breakfast most days. She was a the best. Always attentive friendly. Took care of us well. Our last day we had a different waitress and our order wasn't right, we couldn't get her attention and had to get a manager in order to get our check. When you go for breakfast in the fabulous restaurant, ask for Brenda. Loved the green drink with Apple, spinach and ginger. It was really good.
The people at Wyndham were so helpful making sure everything was perfect for us! No.
I liked it all
The staff was very helpful and freindly. The room was clean and very nice located near a lot of shopping. Our stay was very enjoyable and we will stay here again soon.
The location was within walking distance to Everything. The hotel was very comfortable.
Rooms were very comfortable and clean. Courteous and friendly staff. Location is excellent for shopping. I definitely would return to stay again.
Service was amazing. Location was awesome!
The air conditioning. Our room was not ready at check-in. The bed skirt was torn and stained. The in-room movie played very poorly. The staff was unfriendly.
The accomodations were comfortable, the hotel beautiful, the location convenient, the staff extremely knowledgeable, friendly & helpful. Not really. A common suggestion that I have is in relation to the lights at the nightstand. Most places I've stayed, including this hotel, have both lights for double beds in between them. It would be better to have a light on the far side of the bed so the guest sleeping in the other bed is not disturbed by the late-night reader (me!).
It was an elegant, comfortable weekend at one of the best hotels anywhere. Nothing
I liked the location of the hotel, and also enjoyed the updated decor of the hotel. The bedding was excellent! Very important to me.... it was clean and luxurious. The bath rooms also were in excellent condition. It did meet my standards. (Extremely picky) I did not like that we had to go to the 12th floor to get to reception.
I took my 5 year old to see Chicago. I love the quiet of the hotel. The staff was great. You get what you pay for.
Beautiful hotel, very enjoyable. Neither Booking com nor the hotel warned us that a change in the reservation, leaving a night earlier, would result in an increase in the quoted daily rate. We were only told that cancellation was required 24 hours in advance without penalty.
Fabulous service, fabulous food, fabulous room. I can't recommed this hotel highly enough!!
It was right in the middle of downtown. The first room they gave us had used sheets with lipstick stains on them, and the room had a odor to it, after a little bit of complaining they moved us to another room. The Bathroom in the 2nd room smelled of urine, there was a hole in the lamp shade, the vent for the air conditioner had a very loud raddle to it and there was wall paper pealing off the wall. There was 3 elevators for 40 floors, so it was about a 10 minute wait to exit your floor. I paid 300 dollars for one night, I expected better.
Hotel location, overall room comfort and view, staff attentiveness, value and breakfast Room location(we are HHonor Members and were put in room on elevator wall), bathroom needs work.Cost of parking.
Everyone went over and above to make sure our family members were taken care We have family staying with you to be close to Hospital friendly staff Clean environment
The internal noise of the hotel made it virtually impossible to sleep past 7 am in the morning. The noise could be heard through out the floor, possibly a plumbing issue or the echoing of the elevators...we made it work, but not an ideal situation for vacationing.
We stayed on the 23rd floor, and we were there for 2 nights. Unfortunately, the elevators were SUPER slow. We waited for over 15 minutes both mornings before deciding to take the stairs. We heard others talking about it at breakfast too. Middle of the day, it wasn't as bad. My legs still hurt from doing so many stairs this weekend. Otherwise, the location to Michigan Avenue was GREAT. Close to our favorite restaurant, Grand Lux.
Friendly and very helpful staff. Room was very nice and location was fantastic! No Pepsi products
Lovely LARGE room, great view and location, nice area in which to eat breakfast - modern and comfortable with plenty of seating. Full size hairdryer is especially appreciated along with ample clean towels. Some elevator or machinery noise - did not bother me, almost like "white noise," but light sleepers might object.
Super clean room and very nice breakfast selection One of the three elevators was down and the wait for an elevator in the mornings was unbelievable. I waited for 15 min to get onto one that had room for even 1 person.
The location is great for visitors interested in shopping and dining the magnificient mile. Staff entered our room while we were there either without knocking or knocking as they already entered. When we got there the room was not ready. Instead of checking us in and telling us the room would be ready at three, they took our luggage and said come back at three. When we got back, there wa a line around the corner and we waited for almost an hour to get checked in to a room that was prepaid. Then the bellman who was absolutely frazzled could not find our luggage with the ticket number. When we got to the room there were no pillow cases on the pillows but a stack of them on the desk. I finished the linen myself. An hour later an attendant walked in without knocking saying she was here to get the pillowcases on. Then twenty minutes later a man with a clipboard apparently checking to see if rooms were ready entered our room and knocked after opening the door and coming in. The next morning my daughter and I were out and a man pounded on the door. My husband, just out of the shower, was greeted by a man that insisted he be let in to change out a TV to a larger size. A whopping 2 inches bigger by the way. After ten minutes of arguing the man went away. We were a half hour from leaving, did not go to Chicago to watch TV in the hotel room and my husband was dripping wet in a towel! We finally were leaving this comedy sketch just to find out that the valet ticket we paid for at registration was not validated and got to stand in line again to get it stamped. Then after standing and waiting for the car for fifteen minutes, it turns out that the valet had already brought it down and parked it in the middle of the sidewalk unlocked. I would not return here another night if it was on the house and they paid me.
In the heart of magnificent mile! Clean room, friendly staff, big room with great view
We arrived really early and the staff was very accommodating. Our rooms weren't ready but they happily stored our luggage while we went to lunch.
Great location, nice view When the air conditioning was running we froze. When it stopped we were burning up!
Stayed here during the renovation of the rooms which will be fantastic but not until later in the year. In the meantime, construction noises during the day prohibit sleeping in and rerouting of the water pipes cause a 15 minute delay in hot water. The response from the staff with the water complaint was, 'sorry, try turning the water on when you first get up'. The rates are the same as the Hilton Suites and only $16 less than the Drake Hotel. The advantage here is the breakfast, social hour and the free internet, which is why I'll stay the week but it should be at a more reduced, discounted rate. The location is perfect, though at the north end of the MI mile. Good luck.
I didn't realize how expensive parking was in the area, so I'd come back and use public transportation for my visit. Very convenient for walking and busses to area museums and shopping.
We loved the convenience of being close to downtown and staying in this top quality, beautifully maintained hotel. The staff were courteous and helpful. The rooms were spectacular. The hot breakfast was extraordinary. Seriously, I cannot imagine anything better and we will certainly stay here again when we come to Chicago next time.
Booked the week before Thanksgiving because of low rates at all Chicago hotel that week. The Residence Inn was an outstanding value and the location is convenient to shopping.
Awesome location just a block from Michigan Avenue & Lakeshore Drive. We arrived at 10 am and we were able to check in because our room was ready which was a huge plus! Convenient valet parking and staff was friendly and helpful. We had a the 2 bedroom suite with kitchen which was perfect for 6. Would most definitely stay here again!
Nice hotel. Breakfast was good. I would stay again.
I got a two-bedroom suite. It is quiet and spacious, but the bathroom is small (shower/tub combination and toilet). The bathroom vanity is outside the door. I was there for 3 nights and while the staff did the beds, they didn't change the sheets (I looked for a sign to let them know I wanted the sheets changed on the second day, but found nothing), and shampoo, conditioner etc were sparse. I asked for more when I was about to be out and they did give me plenty. The daily buffet is a nice feature, but could benefit for more variety. The staff is generally nice and helpful. In all, my stay was enjoyable.
The hotel was a block away from the lake and a block away from Michigan ave. Our room was very clean and spacious, and kitchen fully loaded. We were traveling with our dog. The staff was very helpful and supportive. The hotel provided a dog run just around the corner. There are always people walking around, so I never felt afraid of late night or early morning walks with my dog. There is a small park a block away nice place to take her. The front desk was helpful and check-in was quick. We also enjoyed breakfast very much. They never let anything run out. The food was warm and plentiful. I will stay there again and again.
Hands down, the BEST place I've stayed in a long time. I once was a housekeeper and then a room inspector at a beautiful resort property in FL. and am ultra fussy about cleanliness. I always wanted people to feel as though they were the first guests staying in the room. To this day, I can't help but do my usual white glove inspection when I enter any hotel room. Everything in our room, from the kitchenette to the living area and bathroom was spotless (no dust on the tops of artwork frames or stray hairs on the bathroom floor or even water spots on the glass shower enclosure). I was truly impressed. It was photo shoot ready. I'm looking forward to staying there soon for my husband's 40th birthday this month. I'll take advantage of the pool & fitness room this time. There is also a convenient guest laundry facility. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Chicago.
We stayed 5 nights at the Residence by Marriott and will recommend it to all our friends and family. The location can't be beaten for touring Chicago. The suites are large and beautifully furnished with everything you could need. The complimentary breakfast buffet had everything you could want and changed daily. We didn't even make use of the midweek happy hours and free dinner foods. Staff was very helpful. O.K., it wasn't perfect: the elevators are kind of slow.
I stayed the entire week -- Monday - Friday. The hotel staff that I ran into were very friendly. The hotel put out water and dog bones out front -- which I thought was a nice touch given a lot of neighborhood dogs (and guest's dogs, too) were always around. The only *very* minor nitpicks are as follows: * Monday, I found coffee filter still in the machine from previous guest * Not owning a microwave, I was not able to figure out the machine, and there were n obvious instructions. But they promptly sent up a staff person who quickly showed me that I first had to press the non-obvious 'Type II Cook' button * Thursday, they forgot to replace the microwave popcorn and the coffee * My bath towel was always washed no matter where I hung it
