Beds.were comfortable but room was small. Was ok as we were there to sightsee not stay in our room.
Disappointed in the breakfast no variety and out of a lot of items also was expecting a hotel not a motel with outside doors.
Right in the middle of everything. Could walk to the falls, or casino or to shops, or restaurants. Bus stops were within a block of the hotel. The breakfast was not spectacular, but was good and it was included with the stay so can't really complain. It was well maintained and clean.
Staff was extremely nice and courteous and friendly.
There isn't anything that I could complain about. It was easy to get to, had plenty of parking and was no fuss check-in/check-out. Pool area was clean. Hot tub in pool area worked.
Clientele was a little noisy on Friday night after the fireworks, but they were silent at midnight at the latest.
And even then, they were not horribly loud, as putting the TV or radio on low would have drowned them out.
Bathroom tissue holder broken.
Part of hotel is a separate 2-story building, like a cheap motel. Which you would not know, until you are placed there at check in. When it gets colder, it becomes a problem if you are traveling with kids and want to use the pool.
Parking is not free, but it's not uncommon for a Niagara hotel. Lesson for me to ask about these details before booking
-location is perfect
-complementary breakfast included and it's good!
-excellent value for what you pay and get in return
-parking lot charges $15.00 daily!
-room had a weird smell coming from AC unit and carpet had a big stain.
l was book hotel in your website, totally inconsistent with the online description，Outdoor swimming pool did not open, no water， Thirty two inch television is actually only a very small old-fashioned TV, And
also no signal does not work，I ordered a king bed room, give me a queen bed room, all are not correspond, too bad, I'd like a refund
We booked our hotel using kayak and hotels.com. Once we got to the hotel we notice the parking lot was almost empty (not normal for Niagara Falls). The ''manager' show us the room, the walls had graffiti on them (male parts), the bathroom was dirty, there was pee stains on the floor, mirrors dirty, etc. once i removed the blanket from the bed the sheets where stain and there was cigarette ashes and a used match. I asked the manager to show me another room, and the next room was even worse, he finally showed me another one and I said.. are you cleaning the room? he said the rooms were clean. I asked for my money back, he said to me call the website. I called hotels.com and they said.. we will cancel the room but there is not refund. I spoke with hotels.com management and they didn't do nothing to help, they basically they told me to bad so sad and suck it up.
The pictures on the website doesnt match the rooms, the rooms are not in sanitary conditions to be rented, there is construction material everywhere. The saddest part is that while we were dealing with the 'manager' another two couples where dealing with the same situation, their money didnt get back, the hotel is a scam. either you stay in the most filthy room ever or you dont get your money back.
Thanks God I am a resident from the falls and I have gone to the city hall to put a complain, I am calling the tourist department and the health department. I was so disappointed that hotels.com didnt do a thing to help or at least to show some support or empathy.
The room was very nice. I liked the fireplace and the jetted tub. The continental breakfast is a nice touch. The food at the restaurant was excellent.
It was not easy to find in the part of town where it is located. It is on a corner so signs on both streets would help. Provide a larger table in the rooms for the continental breakfast, or in case people are interested in room service. Although the food at the restaurant was excellent, the menu choices are too limited. It is also very pricey for ala carte fare.
The location and free parking made this hotel very appealing.
The hotel felt dingy. The hallways are old and dark. When we first got to our room the tv and 4 separate lights didn't work. Apparently housekeeping likes to unplug everything (we were told this is a known issue and apparently one that has not been addressed). Not a huge deal, but any decent hotel would make sure everything was perfect by the time guests arrive. In addition the room didn't feel clean. There were a few pills on our floor and a small stain on the sheets. The sink also looked grimey. Free parking is great, but there was garbage EVeRYWHERE. Overall it just seemed like their wasn't much pride in whoever makes the decisions at the Holiday Inn. The staff was very kind and helpful, but whoever is making the big decisions needs to invest some $ into the place and clean it up a bit. After one night we cancelled the rest of our reservation and stayed at the Hilton in a studio suite with a view of the falls for the SAME PRICE!
We came with two kids under 5. This hotel was reasonable walking distance to the falls with free parking, had clean rooms and a large pool.
The breakfast was not included however, and was rather pricey, even with the kids' breakfasts more or less free. I say more or less because the kids menu was restricted and you still have to pay tax on it.
Speaking of tax, there is a hidden tourism tax on the room and food which the hotel did not mention. A family member told us about it after our stay. This tax is optional and you can ask for it to be removed--but only if you know it's there in the first place!
I specifically asked for an extra bed before booking and they said they would provide it. Asked for it again upon check-in but never got it. Ran out of parking spot so we had to wait for someone to leave and this is cominat 3am after playing in the casino
Had the junior suite which was very spacious (however friend also had suite that was slightly smaller so specify when booking). Overall was a decent stay for one night but wouldn't want extended stay there. Close to clubs and shopping!
For some reason the tv channels were seriously lacking. Aimed to be back in room for jays game but couldn't get it on tv! Also mini-fridge and microwave are great to have but seriously small and outdated! My friends and I joked that this was a hotel-motel feel.
Only thing good at this hotel is location.
The room smelled like cigarette smoke (our clothes and hair smelled just from being in there). The curtains looked and smelled like they have never been washed since they were put up. Even the air coming out of the a/c unit smelled. Stained carpeting. Tried to get a different room but was told none available. Front desk staff not helpful. (During our 4 day stay we dealt with a broken toilet, broken safe, dog barking through night, elevator broken for 2 days). This hotel is for smokers and people traveling with dogs. Wish we had left as soon as we smelled the room.
I was close to the falls. Walking distance to a good Indian food restaurant next door and an IHOP was also next door to this place. We did not need to drive to get food. other then that nothing good to say.
No elevator that we could find for out third floor stay. The stairwells where disgustingly dirty. The room was not dirty but run to the ground. I'm a contractor and the fire escape panic door hardware on the first floor exiting door was broken cause a total fire escape hazard. If this place was in the USA it would have been shut down by the fire department long ago. I did not feel safe if there was an emergency. Run down 4 channels on the TV. A new flat screen TV does you no good when you have no stations to watch. Pass on this place. Kayak has this place all wrong on the rating. I'm pissed I used them.
Location was good.
There was no coffee maker or fridge in room. No parking when we returned for the evening, had to create a spot. Towels were horrible, the free internet worked only in the early morning.
The service was terrible. We were told we weren't good enough because one of our group was a local and suggested that we go somewhere else. The rooms were filthy, several things were broken or missing. The quality was poor and in the non-smoking section it reeked of smoke.
The location close to the fakls
It was very dirty and the staff does not know about kindness
Nothing to like really. None of lamps even has light bulbs, no garbage can in bathroom, very basic utilities. No hair dryer, and all that. shower curtain has black mold. no telephone in the room. Air conditioner sucks. toilet lid can't stay up.
Management of this hotel just doesn't care what condition of their room is. It costed me $----a night, and condition of room is worst I've ever had. Must worse than $--- a night motels. Definitely not going back.
