The comfort and commodities offered by the hotel are excellent. The location right in the centre of New Delhi is also very good.
We cannot say enough positive things about our stay at the Shangri-La in Delhi. The staff was so kind through and through. In particular the bellhop Robert was crucially helpful to us when we were working through logistics to get a lot of luggage on our airplane. He also referred us to Jassray, their Airport Manager, who helped us a great deal in getting our luggage through. Their concierge also helped us track package deliveries, even before we had checked in. Everyone on the staff was so kind and the service was first class, as well as the amenities in the hotel. We are only going to stay in Shangri-Las after this experience!
Luxury and high level of service. rooms are very comfortable and perfectly clean, staff is very professionnal with an excellent sense of service, business center with computers access very convenient. I really enjoyed my stay at the Shangri-La Hotel
Teh staff is very friendly and willing to help. The facilities are quite good as well. We tried out both Café Uno restaurant and the Oriental restaurant and enjoyed both. The rooms were clean but they did not smell very good.

Lots of plenty to like, including spa/pool, breakfast, room/service, an especially good value for money. Location a bit further from central Delhi, but next to an interesting market and near the Lotus Temple.

I am a global traveler and spend a good amount of time in hotels. This got to be one of the worst Hotels I have seen anywhere across the globe. Five Star rating for this Hotel is a joke. To name a few terrible experiences at this place: 1) I was put up on the 5th floor. As soon as you step out of elevator you get a pungent and nauseating smell due to ongoing construction/painting activity. I am surprised that they put guests on this floor. 2) Shoddy and cheap rooms. I am sorry to say this but the fact is you do not see quality anywhere. There were stains on sheets. Blankets were terrible and I was afraid to even touch them. 3) Unprofessional staff both at main entrance and front desk checkin. At main front entrance, unprofessional staff swarm you every time you step in or out of building and I have noticed staff arguing among themselves in front of guests. 4) Lack of Rest Rooms (Bath Rooms) in common areas. There is only one small rest room in main reception checkin and restaurant area. Bottom line avoid this Hotel at all costs.

Service was good Even though there is a lot of variety for the breakfast buffet. The items need to be changed every day. After day 2 we got tired of the same food choices.
We are non-smokers and we were given a smoking room first (I did not mention while booking). They quickly changed the room to a non-smoking room after we asked for it. It was very quick and easy process. Hotel was very clean and comfortable. They bring bottled water at least twice a day, which was great. After our check out, we asked for a taxi with a meter to take us to New Delhi train station. We got on the taxi and left the hotel. Then we realized that the driver did not start the meter. We asked him to open it but driver made excuses like it is not working, we don't need it, etc. And he took 300 rupee for 10 min. drive. We were very clear on that we wanted a taxi with meter, and the taxi driver that the hotel is working with was not willing to use it. What we expect from a 5 star hotel is trust. I should be able to trust the services they provide and this includes the people they work with. What happened is something normal in Delhi but I was disappointed because the hotel I trusted assigned us to someone not trustworthy.
Location!! After my booking, Hyatt was trying to overcharge me despite what i received in the confirmation (Thanks God i kept a copy of it). When i raised the question for the overcharge, they tried to lie and after 10 minutes of argument, they adjusted the bill but they made it sound like they did me a favor. I also did not receive any perks despite my Hyatt Platinum status.
Absolutely everything we requested was provided to perfection! From the car service pick-up at the airport, being greeted at the hotel with a welcome drink, and being given sincere, friendly and professional service in all aspects of our stay! The rooms were spacious and clean and the temperature in the room was very comfortable. The breakfast buffet in the hotel is quite good with a variety of main dishes. The food that they served at breakfast or when you order room service is excellent!!! I would highly recommend this hotel.
The location of the hotel is good, more o less 15 min walking from conn.place,there is metro station next door,the hotel is really clean and confortable.breakfast very very good.

The close proximity to Connough's Place and the state shops (about 15 min walk) Toooooooooo expensive! Not value for money.
The location was the only good thing. The staff were somewhat cooperative The food was not good at all! We ordered chicken once and we got it half raw! Advice, if you want to go there, eat outside. The breakfast was not that amazing either.
the actual fact is that I stayed only two nights , not day time. so I have nothing much to say. But surely the staff and the stay was good and we were well cared for. i will surely recommend it to my friends
