Bed. Size of room. Alarm at 12:03am. High cost of food. No wifi in room.
Pillows and blankets were feathers. No water in the rooms. Need water bottles in the fridge.
We had stayed for four nights during this period of time we had hosted our daughter's wedding reception in the discovery ballroom. Undoubtably the most impressive aspect was the incredible service from every Hilton representative. With our individual party the hotel also had the PTA, Fireman Convention, a motorcyle convention and another small wedding. Even with all of this going one we had felt like our celebration was the only one-impressive! The sound of the trains.
Location close to downtown and nice park. Parking should be free.
Great spot. Fun walking to a couple bars and restaurants. Solid Hotel. I'll be Back. My breakfast Rocked!!
Very convenient to shopping, good restaurants, & close to Portland.
Good breakfast, pleasant staff, very comfortable bed. Although we were on the freeway side there was no noise to speak of. Generally very quiet. The room had a fairly strong bleach smell, which dissipated somewhat over the 2 days we stayed. Perhaps they should cut back on its use in the laundry. It is located a fair drive from Portland.
The staff were friendly and the location within walking distance to shopping and restaurants. We had booked a king suite, but at the last moment needed two queen beds. The staff was very accommodating. Though the outside of the hotel looked older, the room, lobby and interior were newly renovated and clean. Good value in a neighbourhood of other hotels and amenities. Continental breakfast was very good.
Excellent comfort for the price and the staff was extremely friendly.
did not like worst stay ever I sent it to the company Heat of room , booking and got wrong room , water in shower broke cold water only . breakfast was bod
Nothing. At all because we were not allowed to stay Everything ..rude from the start told me we had too much trafic last time i stayed and was not allowed. To stay
Great room great cookies friendly staff
The price was fantastic for a large room with two queen beds and a sofa. The facility was clean, linens were lovely, and the bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly as well!
Great middle class hotel. Good price, nice rooms, everything was updated.
We were there to celebrate out anniversary as well as go to an appointment in the area. We knew we wanted to eat at Mcgrath's which is just a parking lot away. The room was large they provided a complete desk and 2 TV's outlets on each lamp was awesome as well. We didn't use their food service. I would recommend and stay here again. The bed was too soft for us, the toilets seemed very low to the floor neither of these things were a big enough deal to make us not stay again.
Attended the Portland Antique Show at the Expo Center. We spent the night after shopping all day and planned to return to the Expo the next day. The motel room was clean, the staff was friendly, the beds were comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. Walking distance to restaurants, close to Portland. We would definitely stay there again.
Kind of felt like a sketchy area but the hottub was hot and clean and that was lovely after a day of driving. Staff was good. The room was huge and strangely laid out.
The room is nice, clean and bright. The brightness is was sold me right away secondly the kitchen not too mention The outdoor pool very nice, clear and goes to 7'.
Very nice room. Good breakfast. A bit noisy when there was noise in the hallway or parking lot. Otherwise it was perfect.
Nothing really. As soon as we walked in it smelled like pot, even though we had booked a no smoking room. Very displeased but arrived very tired and had to sleep through it. Will not be staying at this branch of hotels again and will be contacting managers along thechain
The continental breakfast was fabulous. The room was extremely large. It's located just north of Portland with easy access to get there via side streets or freeways. Really great place to stay if you have an event in Portland! I had to walk across the street to get the Pokestop.
Horrible Location,to include drug users in the hallway etc. hair in the shower and all over the walls . Housekeeping did not come until the 3rd day.
The room was large, clean, close to the venue we were visiting in the area, and had friendly and helpful staff. The continental breakfast in the morning was also appreciated. The room had a funky odour to it. A bit overpriced for the star rating.
the price the really, really noisy other guests - the grandmother next door yelling down the hall to get the attention of her kids/grandkids though closed doors and people yelling at each other at 1 and 2 AM.
It was wider than other hotel.
Nice room and reasonable price!
So clean and Comfy! They held money on my card
There was nothing I would change, but maybe add a pool, great stay, staff was great room was clean
Really hard mattress -- almost like sleeping on the floor. Clean room, could have used more cooking utensils (like a paring knife). Never did get the phone in the room fixed during stay. Forced to use their wireless connection (for a fee) even though my computer picked up another free, unsecure connection.
For the most part the room was decent. Apart from the extremely hard mattress, it wasn't bad. It was pretty clean and the staff was very pleasant.
Hotel would only honor the low price if I made the reservation through online travel website. Good room though w/kitchenette. Quite clean for the most part, just a little dust on top of fridge, etc. I certainly will stay again!
The room was clean, comfortable, roomy. The bed, however, was like sleeping on a cardboard box.
Upon checking in I waited and waited for somone to show up behind the counter. After checking into my room I was disappointed in because of how dirty and smelly the room was. Never again
We thought the hotel was good for the price... nothing fancy, but as a home base for a weekend in Portland it worked good. It's within 10-15mi of most everything in the immediate Portland area, and the hotel location is in a reasonably quiet area with local retail amenities close by. The little kitchenette was handy. I agree w/ some reviews that the beds were hard, but no big deal. These extended stay type hotels are generally low-service operations as far as room service, concierge, etc., so for the reviews that complain about service, I'd suggest that they buck up for a more regular service, more upscale hotel if that's what they expect.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and roomy. The bed was rather hard and uncomfortable. An overall great value.
When I arrived at this place I had a 10-15 minute wait for the front desk personel to arrive for check-in. They had left a small sign laying on the counter with a phone number. I called it but no one answered. So I waited. Check-in was pleasant and the guy behind the counter was very friendly. I would rate him at a 9; out of 10. Very nice person. When I walked into my room I could smell a stench like dirty sweaty armpits. I told myself to try to get used to it. The stench was part of my visit and did not go away. My legs were itching the next morning, maybe little critters in the bed. Other than that; everything was perfect. My advice to others-------don't stay here.
Great service, beautiful bar and dining was perfect with excellent prepared food!!!! There wasn't anything to dislike !!!!!!!!!!!!
Loved the food and the bird sounds I'm the hallways! The staff was stellar! Sunday breakfast wad good but cold.
They had great holiday decorations. Fabulous service. The accompanying restaurant was also great. Live piano and fireplaces for New Years. We would love to go back. Day after New Years bar / restaurant closed at 8pm! Wish they would have put up a warning sign.
Excellent food. The beer selection could expand. The shuttle service had limited hours that did not work with my schedule and forced me into a costly alternative for airport pickup.
Super friendly staff; excellent restaurant and nice indoor pool area. Rooms are large and clean, decorated like a log cabin or a mountain lodge. Very good value for a low fee. The birdsong in the hallways is a little cheesy. The suburban industrial park area is not very attractive.
Quick check-in Generous breakfast Location, access to freeway Outdoor pool was closed, no big deal
Wasn't the quietest hotel I've stayed at. The water pressure was awful, and the water was cut off between 10-4 everyday.
The location to the area was great, and the price was excellent. The breakfast was more than adeqate. The staff were friendly and helpful. The romm was a bit small and the standard bed ws a bit short.
It was convenient - close to freeway. Rooms were clean. Complimentary breakfast. I could hear people talking next door- thin walls. I was in room 323. The room was a bit on the small side- had to maneuver the office chair around to get to beds and window.
Staff was great. Location was wonderful. Wifi spotty - great in one room and marginal in another. One lobby computer down for the length of my stay. No list of tv stations made if hard to find programs.
The staff was friendly and helpful, and the complementary breakfast was very good. Every day there were some hot options in addition to the regular breads, pastries, and cold cereals. The location is convenient, with easy access to routes I-5 and 205. The room in general was very worn and shabby, and not dirty, but not really clean either. Our room was very dark with inadequate lighting and electrical outlets. It was almost impossible to read in the room, especially after sundown. There are too few lights, no overhead lighting, and the lamps are ill positioned. Moreover, if you have more than a couple of phones or computers that need recharging regularly, you have to get creative to find enough outlets to plug in the rechargers - such as unplugging the lamps which makes the room darker. Parking at the LaQuinta in Salmon Creek was WOEFULLY inadequate. If you return to the hotel after 9 pm, good luck. There are businesses on each side of the hotel that have signs posted that hotel guests' cars parked in their lots will be towed at owners expense, suggesting this has been a long-standing problem. There are too few parking spots for the number of rooms at the hotel, and not all guests are considerate about parking carefully to fit as many cars in the lot as possible, so some spaces were wasted every night. The staff had no work-around suggestions, so get in early or be prepared to wing it.
I love the ambience when you first come in to check in, the front seat last was so welcoming and the cookies are the best lol specially after a long and tiring drive it's appreciated. The breakfast is wonderful knowing you have a hot rest meal to start the day and the lady assigned very accommodating like a mom. I'd love to stay there again. Thanks for having us.
Comfortable beds, clean facility, provides breakfast. Traffic noise from nearby I-5, pool closed.
The outdoor scenery is beautifully maintained! Sufficient easy parking. Lobby is very welcoming! Staff is very friendly and helpful. You would never know this place was dog-friendly its super clean! The rooms were spacious, clean and quiet with comfy beds. Bathrooms were clean and well supplied. Breakfast has a nice set-up with many options to choose from. This hotel is truly an ideal place to stay! We will definitely stay here again!
Great breakfast buffet, cookies and coffee complimentary in evening. Beds were soo cozy! No hot tub
Nothing. Was very loud and did not sleep at all
We hadn't stayed at La Quinta before and were very impressed with the value. If you want a really comfortable bed and shower, this is the place. You have a microwave and frig in the room, the room is large and they are pet friendly. A full breakfast buffet in the morning was not what we were expecting and it was truly fabulous, included in the room charge. We'll be back. It's pretty minor, but there weren't too many amenities in the bathroom, such as lotion. There was shampoo and soap, but that was it. There were stains on the main room and wallpaper was peeling a bit in the bathroom. Nothing that would affect your stay, but just a few things we noticed.
Great location if you're visiting Portland. Very close to main freeways.
Pool & jacuzzi were clean in a spacious area. The beds were comfortable, and there were ample towels. Lots of noise early in the morning from the floor below, waking us very early. The bedside lamp buttons were so worn out that it took tremendous effort to depress the buttoms(we thought they were broken at first). VERY dim lighting in the bathroom, particularly in the shower.
Visiting old friends and it was located just a mile away from them...big suite, comfy bed, clean, well-appointed...staff was great, called within 30 minutes of check in to see if we needed anying...brought extra luggage rack and pillow quickly....breakfast was a little disappointing, most entrees lukewarm, but not bad..great place, nice peice. .
Pictures showed a bathtub in the delux kind suite but there wasn't a tub.
Location. Easy access to freeway, next door to Vancouver mall Bedspreads were dirty, ants on bathroom sink.
Competitive pricing for the Vancouver area. A bit dirty, particularly along the baseboards. Used towels and soap left by the cleaning staff. Breakfast was taken away while people were still eating. Day shift desk lady was grumpy.... if I wanted to be greeted by a grumpy lady first thing in the morning I would have stay with my wife!
The staff was great, great access to the mall, very small and quiet for the most part The design of the furniture and the breakfast was very small
Value of facility and assistance by the staff The facility seems to be going through some remodeling and some of the elements were not finished or were done a the least cost
I stayed at this Ho Jo for 7 nights and only received maid service 2 times and I had to ask for them to come the first time. Parking lot lights in the mall parking lot were very very bright and lite up my room to much at night.. Also, inconvenienced by them re-paving the hotel parking lot.
The room was a good value for the night and close to the mall, plenty of nearby places to eat. Plus close to the office where my meetings were held. There were no lights in the room that were bright enough.
Lovely staff and great clean rooms and on-time cleaning easy check in, pool was great and warm for the fall season, will come back here again!!
Good value for money. Good location inside the mall. A bit dated. But no other issues.
Very nice stay. Suited our travel needs greatly. Nice breakfast. Nice, clean, hot jacuzzi. Friendly, helpful staff. Stay was with young adult son, not given that choice below so had to pick family with older children
we stayed only at night, we were taking a two day class in vancouver the muffins
Prompt and friendly service. Good sized room. Quiet. Good mattresses. As in too many motels, the rooms are cleaned with various spray cleaners. When I come into a room like that my nose begins to run and someetimes eyes water. The next two mornings I will bring up copious amounts of phlegm. Back home - back to normal. Suggest more scrubbing and less sprays.
Proximity to the Portland airport and to Vancouver Mall. The breakfast items could have been of better quality. The agent at the reservation desk, "Shylo", was uncooperative, rude, and condescending. She should be fired!
We were moved here after we had problems with inccorect bookings next door that left us in a smelly room. It was nice to come to a place where a non-smoking room didn't smell like smoke and perfume. The two hotels next to each other where clearly built at the same time. This one is the more budget offering, BUT they do a better job of cleaning and maintaining what they have then the more expensice one. We felt we got a good deal. No elevator, The bed was too firm, and I had no idea a blue berry muffin could be as bad as what they had at the free breakfast.
Very comfortable beds sheets and pillows Tube TV's, I didn't think that those were still a thing
Following an extended day of travel it was a delight to be greeted so warmly. The young lady at the front desk didn't simply check me in, she took time to inquire about my day. Her demeanor complements the hospitality industry. The outer area carpets are a bit worn but not a major issue. If you want more, go pay way more somewhere else.
Close to our visit location. Good parking. comfortable beds. We stayed four nights and received no maid service/cleaning. When we reported to the front desk clerk that our room had not been cleaned for the third straight night, we were told that staff were working to prepare rooms for new check-ins. We were locked out of our room twice and our key cards had to be re-keyed. There was no management onsite to speak with and all the desk clerks could say is "sorry."
I booked this room for its convenient location and affordability. Pulled down the bedspread and found hairs and bed bug fecal matter. They didn't even put fresh sheets on after the last person!
Nothing I booked this online and was told I didn't need a credit card I could put a cash deposit. I had 100.00 deposit and they turned me away. I was told my credit card was not charged and it better not of been.
This hotel is ideal for those going to see shows at Sleep Country Amphitheater. The staff is friendly, the rooms are spacious and include refrigerator and microwave, and the breakfast area is a good start to the day.
Breakfast foods available included microwave burritos, waffle iron, yogurt, pre-peeled hard boiled eggs, cereals, and prepackaged muffins. The room smelled of cigarettes, had a severe drosophila problem, the door to the room wouldn't close on its own so it had to be slammed shut, and you could hear EVERY movement of the people in the room above.
Location for my purposes Staff helpful Reasonable rates CRT TV No TV schedule Sink drain slow Room not serviced during two-day stay
The location was great. They lost my reservation. I reserved 2 gueens. They didnt have any available. So my husband and 3 kids had to share a king size bed. The room smelled musty. And the laundry room and hot tub was out of order.
Easy access to freeways and shopping. Clean room. Older tv.
The staff were very nice. The room clean for the most part. We did find towels that had stuff on them like the maid hadn't switched them.out from last guests. No amenities - we did expect that for the price, though
Close to restaurants and grocery stores, quiet Only disposable plastic cups in room so I couldn't make my own tea; shower head is very low
The Wi-Fi system data would often slow down to a trickle and/or stop. An upgrade to the Guest House Motel Wi-Fi system is needed.
Staff were friendly. Close distance to freeway, food and stores. Wifi did not work for more than one device. shower head was very low on the wall. pillows and bed were not very comfortable. the A/C/heating unit was very loud. Room smelled musty. I would have rather paid an extra $10-20 a night to stay somewhere else.
Location was close to store and food Room smelled must, furnace was old and more then we'll used, no iron
I liked the friendliness of the manager / owner who recommended a vegetarian restaurant for me when I told him I was a fellow vegetarian. (There is an Indian food place just down the block - walking distance.) Room was clean, affordable, and near major highway that allowed access to Portland with a short 20 minute drive. Air conditioner and fridge worked great. All bathroom utilities worked fine. I wouldn't call the place luxurious but it was just what we needed on our 3 day stay in the Portland area.
Nice accommodations. Super (and free) breakfast. Offers light supper (complimentary) Monday - Thursday evening, such as soup and salad and other special menus (one menu per night). Nice, accessible business center. Loved having full kitchen in-house. Great wireless Internet access in room. Spacious bathroom. Good fitness room and options. Also tennis court. Nice ambience in lobby. Great for business travelers who need to get work done. Adjacent to mall with major department stores and close to restaurants. Pool is outdoors only and probably available only during warm weather seasons.
I love the apartment feel! Full kitchens with full size fridge, real dishes and utensils. Stove top, dishwasher and FREE laundry facilities!!! Comfy beds and tons of movie channels! Nice, free breakfast each morning- Not just muffins and coffee; eggs, waffles, bacon, bagels, cereal, fruit, etc. This place is also VERY pet friendly!! There really isn't much that I didn't like.... the laundry facilities are great, however...I did notice that a couple of the dryers do not work very well. They don't heat up like they should. And there is always at least one washer or dryer that is out of order.
The free breakfasts and weekday evening meals were wonderful. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was not as well shielded from noise as we would like. You could easily here the other guests, especially their dogs. Check-in was longer than expected due to a large group ahead of us, it seemed their were many issues and only two counter clerks.
The breakfast, dinner, 24 hr hot coffee, in room kitchenette, and lobby/community area. Loved the outside dining that even had heaters! Not enough parking.
Ambience Pull-out sofa bed was uncomfortable. Regret not booking directly through hotel website. Paidxxx plus taxes=xxx. Hotel website onlyxxx plus taxes :(
I have stayed twice both times 4 nites. Each stay has been excellent in all areas even when I had a maint. issue with my room that required me to move--the staff shined under pressure offering any solution to accommodate me #40ended up no charging one nite and helped me move#41 no questions asked. I am back in two weeks for another 4 days stay. Friendliest hotel I have stayed at best value for the money #40breakfast and dinner included#41 easy on off to the highway small fitness room and even a basketball court #40ball supplied#41 Cant miss if you stay here.
When i first walked in i was welcomed warmly by the girls at the front desk. I could smell this lovely aroma coming from the lodge, who would have known they also serve dinner monday till thursday. Everyone was so welcoming i felt like part of their family. I would tell anyone traveling to Vancouver to stay with this hotel. breakfast was also very good.
It was one of the best suites that I have stayed at in the area and it was offered as a smoking suite. Not very much parking for the amount of suites. Had to park in the street after a night out on the town.
Location! So close to the water front and really good restraunts. The rooms are a little dated and could use a face lift, but we were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay.
Aloha We felt very welcomed from the moment we walked in the door. Unit had a sitting area and a small kitchen, very comfortable. Afternoon dinner very nice as well as breakfast! Staff very welcoming!!! thanks! Also great area to go walking!! Hotel does not have a water view, you are located right across the street!
The layout of the room and the hotel was convenient. The breakfast was decent compared to other hotel 'free' breakfasts. The pool area was just perfect for kids. The rooms appear dated and the furniture is somewhat uncomfortable.
Over the Christmas holiday, we stayed at the Homewood Suites while visiting family. The fireplace room was very comfortable, morning breakfast was excellent, and the one evening reception we were able to attend was incredible. The staff was extremely helpful and overall we had a very pleasurable and relaxing stay. It's a great location and we would recommend this hotel to anyone!
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
setting dated for the price
the room was clean lobby was way to small and noisy
Clean room, well kept, and decent location Small room, very expensive parking
Stylish, attentive service, cool bar, boutique nature of facility Justlocation is just a bit out of way but that could considered both a positive as well as negative
Front desk and bell staff we very friendly and helpful. Everything was great.
The hotel is close to many great restaurants and theater. The staff were amazing - and the attention to detail and creative touches are very appreciated. No shelf or counter in the bathroom is annoying - but the ambiance and details outweigh that!
Great location and decor. Well maintained and clean. Downtown and Washington Park were easily accessible by foot and the light rail. Staff were very friendly. Room was incredibly small, especially compared to the Marriotts I stay at for business. My room was also next to the elevators so glad I brought my ear plugs.
housekeeping was excellent banquet staff was excellent excellent location hotel for 20s and 30s Front desk staff was all business, condescending and rude our king room was miniscule bathrooms lacked safety bars parking rules were never made clear
I love this hotel and stay here every time I go to Portland. All of the staff, from the housekeepers, valet, bartenders, and the front desk are happy and kind and will go out of their way to make you feel welcome.
Absolutely the best location. Easy to travel to any part of portland, 5 minute walk from Powell's City of Books. Really nice staff, really nice valet, decent gym, decent facilities. Room is clean and cozy. Not a great view but it doesn't really matter since you can access the parts of the city with a great view within 10-15 minutes. Valet is a bit pricey. No view from our window, but it didn't bother me much.
Classy place and Beer happy hour were amazing. Room size was a little small.
The location is great. You're close to plenty of great restaurants, museums and late night spots. The staff is very friendly and professional. The rooms are comfortable and include nice touches like USB ports on the lamps and recycling bins. And you get free beer every night. The rooms are a bit small, so you might want to upgrade to the larger rooms when you book. No closet space.
Friendly Bartending Staff at Imperial.
centerally located with a daily beer hour where you can grab free beer Rooms are some of the smallest that I've stayed at with very thin walls. Expect to hear your neighbors using the bathroom...
The staff gives you a lot of their time, professional and helpful, and most are friendly. The room was beautifully appointed, very comfortable for one person, and I was happily upgraded to a street view of the Starlight Parade. Unfortunately the ground floor was undergoing renovations, which had I known I would have booked elsewhere.
They upgraded my room when my original room wasn't ready on check in, and they sent a complimentary bottle of champagne to my room because it was my 21st birthday! Hotel was quite expensive for the size of the rooms
Very clean and tastefully appointed. A great place to decompress. Nothing
Wish we would have known they were doing construction on the lobby. It was noisy so they should have given us something extra for the trouble
