Hotel was luxorios. Staff was helpfull and recommended good trips. Hotels location wasn't very good.
Comfort of my room and the view. The hotel location is perfect. It was difficult to communicate with some of the staff at reception due to language barriers, but this is minor.
Beautiful and comfortable rooms, great swimming pool for laps, and excellent breakfast. Friendly staff with excellent English!
The lobby was huge and sterile but staff was pleasant and helpful. The room was very comfortable and spacious. Beds in china are a bit too firm for me but the linens were very nice. This hotel is in a perfect location with the lake in front and he pedestrian mall behind. I would 100% stay here again if I returned to Giuliin. TV list claimed two channels in English but there were none. I did not eat in the hotel. The restaurant I saw was huge and uninviting. I found great food off the pedestrian mall a couple of blocks from the hotel.
Great, comfortable room offered as standard and set in beautiful gardens. Had complimentary pick-up from airport and inclusive breakfast buffet - very good value! Only con was the actual hotel was a fair walk through the park so you need to ask/arrange a gol cart ride to entrance of park, especially in pouring rain!
We very much enjoyed staying at the hotel. The room (deluxe suite) was excellent, and very good value. The staff were friendly and helpful. No
Some of the girls behind the desk where really helpful and friendly, some of them speak good english! The hotel is not very well located but with the bus n. 11 you get quickly into the center and the train station is not far.
the location the bathroom and lack of proper training of the restaurant staff
The location was perfect, room great & staff really helpful!
The hotel agreed to keep our luggage for 2 more days without any problem, as we were going to a trip to the mountains - Payment by credit card This hotel is not for overseas tourist, only for chinese. The staff does not speak english at all. The confort is chinese style. The breakfast is chinese. our guide was very surprised that we chose for this hotel, and told us that the price we paid was expensive given the category of the hotel. We would rate it as a 2 stars hotel (european point of view).
Its clean, well located (bus, train and taxi services), attractions (Ellefent hill park, 4 lakes, Sever star park) and for shopping. the staff try their best despite of language barrier. First, the lack of communication. Only occasionally there is an English speaking staff member. The do not detail they facilities and services, even the promotion materials are only in Chinese. They lack the understanding of a foreigner visitor's needs and fail to attend them. For example, they did not have and English map of Guilin. They refused to honor the rate quoted by Booking.com.
Well located, just 10 minutes away from the river, the pagodas, and the market area. 20 minutes walking from the downtown. Nobody speaks a word in English. So loud, is located beside a "red zone", so be ready for that or quit to this hotel. Cigar smells. Good to stay for the price, but only for a night or two max.
no english speaking staff, which hampered check in at 2am in the morning, dirty linen left in public areas
walking distance to the Mega shopping mall around the hotel.
Big room, clean, and despite their situation in the center of the city, it was very quiet. Although staff speak only a little english, they were very helpful. Bed very hard (Like almost all chinese hotels). In Europe, maybe be graded as 2 stars.
